Summer is almost here and that means it's time once again (15), to battle the heat, humidity, the tight, fast singletrack and, yes, the 600 foot climb of the Red Trail at Oak Mountain State Park. There will be feed zones-a-plenty to make it a little easier. Oak Mountain State Park is a beautiful 10,000-acre facility with many sites for picnicking and a great lake with a beach for swimming and relaxing. On Memorial Day weekend, the park is hosting the Xterra Southeast Cup Championship.
