Birmingham Urban Mountain Pedalers present:

Volunteers We Need You!

Volunteers are an integral part of the Bump N Grind. Without them, it would be impossible to host a race in a way each rider has come to expect. In fact, we are ALL volunteers! Your support is greatly appreciated!

Our Appreciation

Each Volunteer receives free park entry (if you sign on in time), an event t-shirt and free lunch as a small token of appreciation. In addition, you are invited to our Saturday night VIP / Volunteer appreciation dinner (Great dinner, conversation, adult beverages, and maybe even meet the pros).

Be Early Please

Volunteers must check in on-site at least 30 minutes prior to your shift. Look for the "Volunteers" banner in Expo area. This allows time for the Volunteer Coordinator to explain responsibilities and direct you to your position.

You CAN race

You can race and volunteer at the same time. Just make sure you do not sign up for a job scheduled during your race. We've had plenty do both in the past.

Dress Appropriately

Weather conditions and temperatures may vary during your shift. Please be sure to be prepared for any kind of weather that you might expect in early June.

Volunteer Shifts

Below are the shifts and jobs this year. You may work any shift, partial shifts or any combination of shifts; just let us know which shifts you are available. Not all jobs start or end at the beginning or end of the shift. Click on each one to get more information at the job.
This year we will be utilizing the services of VolunteerHub.com to manage every job. You will need to create an account at the time you pick your job/shift. This service will make it easier for Katie, our volunteer coordinator, to communicate with you as well as give you more flexible options in committing to help with the race. Send all questions to Katie at  volunteer@bump.org
